Pipe & Sailor

Design Concept

Craft beer is my jam. In another life, I would’ve opened a craft brewery. That said, Pipe & Sailor is what I would brand a brewery, given the chance. A dreamer can dream right?

My initial idea came from sketching out an ol’ time sailor—with a pipe, of course. That sent me down the path of concepting a craft beer company centered around life on the sea. I hand-drew each caricature embodying my brew types– Scandinavian Skiff, Foggy Sea Dog, Whittler’s Knife, etc. The rich color scheme was created to channel a vintage palate, circa 1800’s. I created the copy, sketches and logos to supplement this concept and bring it to life.
